Wanda Peck has lived in Blaine County for most of her life. Born in Albion, her family moved to Carey when she was 6 months old. She was raised on the Payne Ranch south of Carey and lived there all of her life except for the time she attended college and received her nursing degree. She returned and married her late husband, Ronald Peck, and moved to Ronald’s parents ranch north of Carey where she still lives today. Wanda has been an active community member her entire life. She and Ronald have helped their seven children and many grandchildren participate in 4-H and the fair with animals and projects. There hasn’t been a fair for years without a quilt or an amazing project on display that Wanda created. John is their fifth child. He and Heidi are also longtime residents of Blaine County. Heidi was born in Twin Falls and grew up there. She an John met at CSI where she was playing and coaching Volleyball and John was the Student Body President. They have lived most of their married life in Carey except for a few years when they attended college and John taught school in Challis. They have four children and continue to be active in their community through the school, and Carey Fire & Rescue. They also enjoy helping out and displaying items at the fair each year.
